Produced by Tim Burton and directed by Henry Selick, who had previously collaborated on The Nightmare Before Christmas.
This house was used in the shot when the giant peach was rolling down the hill on it's way to the ocean.
Constructed of plywood with composite surfacing and interior gels for lighting effects (lighting not present) for the animated sequences of James and the Giant Peach.

It remains in a good production used condition with some additional wear from use.
James and the Giant Peach was a British/American film based on a 1961 novel by Roald Dahl of the same name.
It had a budget of $38 Million but only grossed $28.90 Million in the box office. However it still kept a faithful rendition of the book.
It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Music and won a Kansas City Film Critics Circle Awards, Annecy International Animated Film Festival and Dallas–Fort Worth Film Critics Association for Best Animated Film.
