An original puppet used in the production of the satirical television series Spitting Image (1984-1996).
This puppet was created during the production for the character 'Mark Thatcher'.
The puppet head is made from foam latex with acrylic eyes and metal and plastic animatronic cables. The Torso is made from foam. A cotton green and black sport jacket is worn over the internal structure.
It remains in a good production used condition with additional wear from use. The interior foam of the puppet’s torso has worn away over time.

Spitting Image is a British satirical television puppet show, created by Peter Fluck, Roger Law and Martin Lambie-Nairn.First broadcast in February 1984, the series was produced by 'Spitting Image Productions' for Central Independent Television over 18 series which aired on the ITV network.
The series was nominated and won numerous awards, including ten BAFTA Television Awards, and two Emmy Awards in 1985 and 1986 in the Popular Arts Category.
