An original Argos Soldier’s body armour used in the production of 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans.
Zeus (Liam Neeson), king of the Gods, is tricked into sending his downtrodden brother Hades (Ralph Fiennes) to Earth to make the mortals fearful of the Gods’ power – never reckoning on the intervention of demi-god Perseus (Sam Worthington) as he fights to save Andromeda (Alexa Davalos), princess of Argos.
This armour was worn by one of the soldiers of Argos. The body armour is composed of a chest plate and back plate made of formed plastic. It also bears the mark of Argos at the neck and has been painted to replicate the look of beaten steel, with riveted leather straps at the shoulders and leather laces at the sides to keep the armour fitted closely to the wearer.
It remains in a good production-used condition with additional wear from use.
Clash of the Titans was directed by Louis Leterrier and featured an all star cast such as Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson and Sam Worthington.
It cost $125 Million to produce and raked in an impressive $493.2 Million at the box office.
It was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Fantasy Film and an Annie Award for Best Character Animation in a Live Action Produciton, among many others.
