An original Joppa Guard Helmet used in the iconic Clash of the Titans (1981).
This Joppa guardsman’s helmet is from Desmond Davis’ fantasy epic Clash of the Titans. Based on famous Greek myths, the film tells the story of Perseus’ (Harry Hamlin) adventures through ancient Greece as he seeks to save the Princess Andromeda (Judi Bowker) from the Kraken.
This helmet was worn by a soldier who patrolled Joppa, home of Queen Cassiopeia (Siân Phillips) and Princess Andromeda.
Measuring at approx 14.17" x 8.66" x 11.81" (36cm x 22cm x 30cm) it remains in a good condition, but has some scratches and marks from use in production.
The helmet is made of fibreglass and features a leather chinstrap, a faceplate with nose and eyebrow detailing, floral designs above the ears and a wide crest along the top. A foam interior lining is present for the wearer’s comfort.
Comes with a Studio Props COA which has been verified by a well renound collector of props for many years.
