This is an original crew-issued belt buckle from the production of the classic 1982 fantasy film The Dark Crystal, directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz. These rare buckles were presented to members of the production crew by the studio as a commemorative token of appreciation for their work on the film, making them exclusive, non-commercial production artifacts.
The buckle is constructed of metal and designed in the stylized shape of a crystal, featuring the film’s title, The Dark Crystal, in raised lettering across the front. The piece reflects the distinctive aesthetic of the film and stands as a unique example of production memorabilia from one of Jim Henson’s most ambitious projects.
The buckle remains in good overall condition considering its age and production use. The letter “D” has been reconstructed, and additional restoration work has been performed. The metal prong on the reverse side is broken. These condition details are consistent with a genuine production-issued artifact and do not detract from its display appeal.
Dimensions:
Approximately 3.5 x 2.5 x 0.5 inches
