This is an original Zorg Industries ZF-1 rocket created for use in Luc Besson’s iconic 1997 science-fiction action film The Fifth Element.
 
These lightweight rockets were produced for attachment to the stunt and background versions of the ZF-1 pod weapon—units carried by actors, extras, and stunt performers during wide shots, action sequences, and set-dressing scenes.
 
The rocket is constructed with a silver-coloured lower section formed around an inner cylindrical structure, wrapped in a thin hardboard outer layer and finished with a plastic rear piece. The upper section is a yellow resin nose cone, which has been foam-filled in keeping with stunt-prop safety requirements. 
 
Measuring approximately 8.75 inches long and 3.5 inches at its widest point, the rocket remains in good overall condition with expected wear from production use. Notable points of wear include a small missing section at the nose tip, two missing fins on the yellow section, and a split in the hardboard outer layer of the lower body.
 
Set in the 23rd century, The Fifth Element follows cab driver Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis), a former special forces major who becomes an unlikely hero when a mysterious being named Leeloo enters his life. Together, they must recover four elemental stones and the mythical “fifth element” to stop an ancient cosmic force from annihilating Earth. Blending dynamic action, imaginative design, and humour, the film has become one of the most visually iconic sci-fi works of the 1990s.
 
This stunt ZF-1 rocket represents a distinctive piece of cinematic history from one of the genre’s most celebrated productions.
