An original miniature wine bottle used in the production of the TV series The Wind in the Willows that aired from 1984-1988.
This Wine bottle was used in series 3 episode 13 'Winter Haunts' along with others on a wine rack that was seen in Mr Toad's cellar.
It has been made from cast resin with the aluminium closure being hand painted, and glue still attached to the bottle from where it was originally glued into the wine rack.
The bottle measures at approx 3in tall and comes in a custom frame measuring at approx 9.5" x 9.5"
It remains in a good production used condition with additional wear from use.
The wind in the Willows was a stop motion TV series that was based on characters from Kenneth Grahame's classic story of the same name.
It was made by the animation company Cosgrove Hall for Thames Television and was shown on ITV in the 1980's. It starred David Jason and Peter Sallis and ran for 5 seasons, with a total of 65 episodes, winning a BAFTA and an international Emmy award during its run.
