This is an original miniature bun created for the production of Nick Park’s acclaimed stop-motion animated film Wallace & Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death (2008), produced by the award-winning Aardman Animations.
Buns, pastries, and cakes can be seen throughout the film, particularly inside the Top Bun bakery operated by Wallace and Gromit. Additional patisserie items are also visible in the storefront of PAT O’ CAKE’S patisserie.
This particular bun was part of the production run and served as a standby spare during filming.
The prop is constructed from plasticine or a plasticine-like modeling clay, consistent with the traditional stop-motion techniques used by Aardman Animations. It remains in good production used condition with additional wear from use.
It is beautifully presented in a custom display measuring 8.25 inches x 6 inches x 3.5 inches.
Dimensions (approx.): 23mm in diameter x 20mm high.
