An original sword used in the production of the cult television series Xena: Warrior Princess (1995-2001).
Swords like these can be seen throughout the series, sometimes with a black gem and sometimes with a red one. A similar sword to this can be seen in season 3, episode 8 'The King of Assassins, 1998 episode 'Sacrifice Part Two', and also, actor Meighan Desmond who plays Discord can be seen using a similar sword in season 5, episode 22 'Motherhood'.
It has been constructed of a hard dense rubber material with a faux ruby stone embedded to each side below the cross guard.
It measures approx long 26.5" long x 7" wide at the hilt and remains in good production used condition with a small split in the rubber at the tip of the blade.
